Commencement Information for Graduates

Congratulations Class of 2025!

We are excited to celebrate your commencement on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10:30am at The Weidner Center.

All graduates must arrive dressed and ready to go by 9:15 a.m.

Detailed instructions about how to process into the auditorium and where to sit will be provided before the ceremony, so it is crucial you arrive on time. Please plan on the ceremony lasting about two and a half hours. Following the ceremony, we will have a reception in the foyer with light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

Please review the checklist below to ensure you are prepared for commencement.

Graduate Checklist
Ceremony Photos

Countryside Photography will be onsite taking photos during the ceremony. Each graduate will be mailed a professional photo of them at the ceremony with their diploma in June. If you wish to order more photos, please follow the instructions on the envelope you are sent.

Diplomas and Transcripts

Your diploma will not be found in the diploma cover you receive while you walk across stage. The process of printing and signing diplomas could take a few weeks. Instead, your diploma will be mailed to you after commencement using the address you provided on the Intent to Graduate form.

Information on how to download an official transcript will also be mailed to you. Should you need additional copies, at the cost of $10 each, or an unofficial copy, go to the Bellin College transcript webpage for directions on how to obtain more.

Caps, Gowns, & Cords

Full academic regalia is required to participate in the commencement ceremony. Please make sure you fill out this portion of the Intent to Graduate form correctly to ensure proper fitting of your gown.

  • Bachelor’s degree students will receive a gown, cap and tassel. You may decorate your cap how you would like, making sure to keep your décor appropriate and tasteful. Administration reserves the right to remove any caps that do not follow our values.
  • Master’s degree students will receive a gown with an oblong extended sleeve. Students will also receive a hood.

All graduates are asked to remove their gown from the plastic and try it on as soon as they receive it.

Please note: gowns fit each person differently due to body styles. The bottom of the gown should rest anywhere between your knees and ankles. The arms may cover your hand, but shouldn’t be any longer than the tips of your fingers. The body of the gown may or may not have extra room. Should you have any concerns regarding fit, please contact Nicole Deprey at commencement@bellincollege.edu. Every effort will be made to allow the proper fit if brought to our attention immediately. Waiting may result in extra rush shipping fees.

Those who qualify for honors should have a set of apricot cords with their regalia at pick up. If you do not, please bring it to our attention. * If you belong to the Kappa Pi or Lambda Nu honor society, you should have cords coming from a Bellin College faculty member. Ask your Dean if you do not have them.

*Honors are based on the last graded term before graduation. Only those who qualify with a 3.5 GPA or higher at that time will be printed in the program or in the newspaper. If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar, Russ Leary.
