Our Traditional program is designed for applicants that have completed 0-28 of the Bellin College required general education courses.

Sophomore

Sophomore Transfer Option Admission Criteria

Applicants to the Sophomore Transfer Option must have completed the entire freshman-required general education courses (29 credits), have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in transfer courses, and no grade lower than a “C” in required general education courses. Students are not allowed to repeat a required course more than one time. Students begin the program in the summer (two online nursing courses) and graduate in three years.

The following 29 general education credits are required for admission:

*If a student has a prior degree, the Writing Requirement may be waived. Students will need to meet the minimum general education credit requirement to obtain a Bellin College degree.

If an applicant has at least 29 acceptable credits and is missing the Expository Writing course they will be allowed to enter the Sophomore Transfer Option with a stipulation that the Expository Writing course be completed (with a C or higher) before the start of their Junior year.

A credit evaluation will assist in determining eligibility for this option. A Bellin College Admissions Counselor will assist in outlining a plan to fulfill the remaining general education credits that are required.

The Credit Evaluation and GPA calculation will include any course taken that would meet the following criteria:

  1. All courses that meet a required general education course will be considered. Required general education courses include:  Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Psychology, Human Development, Writing, Communication, Human Diversity, Statistics, Business, Algebra, and Philosophy/Ethics.
  2. Elective Courses that meet a grade of “C” or above will be included. Elective courses include:  Social Sciences, Humanities, General and Upper Level electives.

Official admission is contingent upon receipt of any official transcripts (If courses are in progress at the time of application), and completion of the health requirements prior to enrollment. (Date will be communicated).

Bellin College accepts undergraduate students on a rolling admission basis. Once an option or track fills, we will no longer accept applications for that option or track. All applications must be complete as of the deadline date to be considered for acceptance.

  • Start your Bellin College Application for Admission.*
    Applying to Bellin College is FREE with our online application.
    You will need to create a Username and Password (make note of these somewhere for future reference as you will continue to work within this application portal to later finish your application and monitor your documents).
  • Once you are logged into the application, Select “Applicant Information” from the left column. Fill in all information within this section (ending with local email field).
  • Upon completion, hit “Save and Next” at the bottom and a notification of your online application portal creation will be sent to Admissions. Do not proceed any further with the application at this time.Within three (3) business days, you will be contacted by one of our Admissions Counselors. Your Admissions Counselor will work with and advise you as to when and how to take the next steps with your application at the appropriate time.

STEP 2:  Finish and submit the remainder of your online application.

Once your application is complete, it will be reviewed and you will be notified of the outcome.

Junior

Junior Transfer - Admission Criteria

Applicants to the Junior Transfer Option must have completed all science requirements, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in transfer courses, and no grade lower than a “C” in required general education courses. A majority of the 56 general education credits must be completed for admission to this option. Students are not allowed to repeat a required course more than one time. Students begin the program in the summer (two online nursing courses) and graduate in two years.

15 Month

15 Month Option - Admission Criteria

The 15 Month Option is designed for individuals seeking to pursue a career in nursing. Applicants must have completed the 56 general education credits listed below, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 transfer courses with no grade lower than a “C” in those transfer courses. Students are not allowed to repeat a required course more than one time. The 56 credits must meet the distribution listed below.

The program is designed in 8-week sessions to be completed in 7 consecutive terms. Students graduate after 15 academic months of coursework. The following 56 general education credits are required for admission:
