Bellin College inducted first students into new Lambda Nu National Honor Society chapter

lambda-nu2On March 4, Bellin College hosted their first induction ceremony for the Wisconsin Omega Chapter of Lambda Nu, a National Honor Society for the radiologic and imaging sciences. Eight students and six faculty were inducted. Students: McKayla Dantoin, Cassandra Duckart, Michele Hennessey, Kristina Konen, Samantha Lemmens, Katie Lipke, Lucy Stedl, Catherine Verbeten Faculty: Mark Bake, Chad Dall, Amanda Hogan, Andra Sartorelli, Christina Smith, Misty Susa.

Student members were presented with a certificate and official Lambda Nu pin. Medical Imaging students will be the first to wear the Honor Cords of the society’s colors of maroon and forest green at Bellin College’s graduation ceremony on May 14, 2016. Lambda Nu National Honor Society was formed in 2001 at Arkansas State University and is the location of the Home Chapter. It was the first National Honor Society specific to the Medical Imaging Sciences. Objectives: Foster academic scholarship at the highest academic levels, promote research and investigation in the radiologic and imaging sciences, and recognize exemplary scholarship. There are currently 181 Lambda Nu chapters in 43 states. On November 6, 2015, Bellin College Wisconsin Omega Chapter became the fourth chapter recognized in Wisconsin.
