The traditional option is designed for students who have or will have a high school diploma at the time of enrollment. Traditional students begin as first-year students and will complete their undergraduate degree in three years.

STEP 1: WORK WITH AN ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR

  • Start your Bellin College Application for Admission.*
    Applying to Bellin College is FREE with our online application.
    You will need to create a Username and Password (make note of these somewhere for future reference as you will continue to work within this application portal to later finish your application and monitor your documents).
  • Once you are logged into the application, Select “Applicant Information” from the left column. Fill in all information within this section (ending with local email field).
  • Upon completion, hit “Save and Next” at the bottom and a notification of your online application portal creation will be sent to Admissions. Do not proceed any further with the application at this time. Within three (3) business days, you will be contacted by one of our admissions counselors. Your admissions counselor will work with and advise you as to when and how to take the next steps with your application at the appropriate time.

STEP 2:  Finish and submit the remainder of your online application.

In addition, please provide the following:

  • Written Personal Statement (see guidelines)
  • Official transcripts
    • Official high school transcript
    • Official college transcripts for any courses taken during high school for which you are receiving college credit
    • Official College Board AP transcripts/scores (if applicable)
    • Official ACT/SAT report if desired (optional)

STEP 3: We review your application

Once your application is complete, it will be reviewed and you will be notified of the outcome.

NOTE: Your application must be complete in order to meet any deadline and is not considered complete until the Admissions Office has received all required items as outlined above.

Program-Specific Requirements

  • All Allied Health program applicants (BSRS, BSRT, BSDMS, BSSA) will be required to attend an on-campus interview for admittance.

Background Check

In compliance with the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check and Investigation Legislation, a background check will be completed upon acceptance into Bellin College.

Applicants who have been convicted of specific crimes/offenses that would bar them from clinical experiences as a student or employment and/or licensure as a caregiver will not be admitted to the College. A background check approved by the College does not guarantee successful clinical placement. Any clinical agency reserves the right to complete a criminal background check and to ban a student from clinical experiences based on the results of the background check. The Dean of Student Services has the ability to grant entrance on an individual basis.

CPR Certification

CPR certification must be American Heart Association – Health Care Provider/ Basic Life Support (infant/child/adult). Students will be trained at the College if needed. Each student must show proof of CPR certification by uploading the front and back of their CPR card into their CastleBranch account. CPR is required every two (2) years by most clinical agencies. There is a discounted fee for CPR certification and CPR renewal.

Health Qualifications

Each applicant is required to complete a physical examination, specific immunizations, and drug testing. The general health of the applicant must be deemed adequate for meeting the minimal technical criteria and program outcomes of the degree.

Upon acceptance to the College, the student’s pre-entrance physical, immunization and health records will be reviewed by the Employee Health Office. 

Drug Screen

Drug screening prior to entry is mandatory. The Chief Academic Officer will review the confidential drug screen results. Any applicant whose drug screen reports the use of illegal drugs may have their admission canceled. Drug screens need to be completed through the Bellin Occupational Health Clinic.

Minimal Technical Requirement and Physical Exam Form

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Bellin College does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, student aid and other College-administered programs nor in the employment of its faculty and staff. As a Bellin College student, performance of certain activities is required with or without reasonable accommodation. Bellin College reserves the right to determine final eligibility based upon the applicant and student’s ability to successfully complete Minimum Technical Criteria Standards as outlined by the College. Students must have the abilities and skills according but not limited to the following:

  • Ability to communicate with patients, families and other health care professionals.
  • Problem-solving abilities sufficient for clinical judgment.
  • Dexterity, range of motion, and eye/hand coordination sufficient to perform procedures and manipulate equipment, including intervention in an emergency situation.
  • Auditory and visual ability sufficient for assessment of health care status, and for providing safe and effective care.
  • Emotional health sufficient to provide safe and effective care, meet the physical demands of patient care, including but not limited to the ability to lift, position, and transport patient and the ability to lift, move and position heavy equipment.
  • Meet the Minimal Technical Criteria Standards as outlined on the medical form.

Enrollment Deposit

Upon acceptance into the College, students must pay a non-refundable enrollment deposit. Deposit amount varies by program.
