Inclement Weather College Closure

Inclement Weather / College Closure

When weather conditions in Green Bay warrant, the College will cancel classes, labs, and/or clinicals. Examples that might warrant the closing, cancellations or a delayed opening include: Ice storms, wind chill temperatures 40 degrees below zero degrees, and blowing and drifting snow making roads impassable.

If weather related cancellations occur, information is typically available by 5:00 am (for day activities) and by 1:00pm (for evening activities).

When the College is closed, it will be indicated by a red banner at the top of this website. In addition, details will be communicated to students and employees via text message and student email.

Closures due to weather will also be announced on the local media stations:

Radio Stations TV Stations
WIXX 101.1 FM WBAY Channel 2
WNCY 100.3 FM WFRV Channel 5
WTAQ 1360 AM WLUK Channel 11
WDUZ 1400 AM WGBA Channel 26

TV and radio stations frequently do not begin announcing closings until 6:00 a.m.

**Students and employees are responsible for using personal judgment regarding their safety and travel to the college during inclement weather. Students who have clinical should contact their clinical faculty regarding clinical cancellation. Students who attend clinical outside of the Northeast Wisconsin area should use their best judgment for inclement weather. The student(s) must communicate attendance decisions with the clinical site and Bellin College personnel.
