Job Shadowing

Job shadowing is an opportunity whereby students can spend time with an individual as that person goes about the tasks and activities associated with his/her job.

Shadowing is meant to give students a first-hand view of the world of work as well as a chance to question and learn as they observe. A student’s motive in pursuing a job shadow activity is usually unique to that student’s needs and goals for the future.  Job shadowing gives students an opportunity to ask questions that only someone in that specific field or position can answer.
