External Scholarship Announcements

The following organizations have requested that we post their scholarship opportunities. Please review each scholarship in detail for eligibility requirements, amounts, and deadlines.

  • The AACN and QGenda scholarship – Supports the preparation of new nurses and those seeking to advance their education. Open to nursing students pursuing baccalaureate and higher degrees at AACN member institutions, this program will award nearly $50,000 in scholarships through 2025, which will be administered by AACN’s Foundation for Academic Nursing. Deadlines: July 1, February 1, October 1.
  • Abbott & Fenner Scholarship – The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post-secondary institution.
  • “A Dog Changed My Life” Scholarship-$500  – High school senior, undergraduate or graduate student. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • ACLS Scholarship for Healthcare Providers – An essay contest for healthcare workers.
  • Boehnlein Nursing Scholarship – Must be seeking a nursing degree and have been accepted to, or currently attending, a school with an accredited nursing program
  • Bold.org College Student Mental Health Scholarships 
  • Bold.org Nursing Scholarships 
    – This organization gives away multiple scholarships at different times during the year for various types of students. Please refer to the link to find out if you qualify.
  • BSN Education Scholarships– This nursing resource offers scholarships for general and specialty nursing, graduate nursing, LGBTQ nursing, minority nursing, men in nursing and military nursing students. Award amounts and deadlines vary. 
  • CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship – Must be enrolled in a graduate nursing program to be eligible.
  • College Ave Student Loans Monthly Sweepstakes – enter each month for a chance to win $1,000 for school. Click on the link for more information and the application.
  • Completing the Dream Scholarship – The Sallie Mae Fund – The Sallie Mae Fund’s Completing the Dream Scholarship Program helps under-resourced and underrepresented students and those from historically underserved communities complete their post-secondary education. Students on-track to complete their degree or continuous education program who are facing financial challenges may apply to receive a one-time scholarship of up to $2,500 to help complete their post-secondary education program. Scholarship applications are being accepted now through 6/28/24 or until all scholarship dollars have been awarded.
  • Dianne Bergstrom Nursing Scholarship – Must be seeking a nursing degree and have been accepted to, or currently attending, a school with an accredited nursing program.
  • Discover Scholarship Award – Undergraduate and graduate students (and their parents) can enter to win 1 of 12 monthly scholarships worth $5,000 each. No essay or lengthy application required. More information in the link.
  • Dog Lover Scholarship – $500
    High school senior, undergraduate or graduate student. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • F.A. Davis Scholarship – $1,000
    Awards 3 applicants in either BSN, MSN, or DNP programs.
  • Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Scholarship Program – Must be admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program.
  • Gordy & Mona Van Asten ‘Ethics/Entrepreneurship’ Fellowship – This scholarship is for students participating in the Bellin College & St. Norbert College nursing partnership program. This scholarship will award out two $2,500 scholarship awards for tuition expenses for the fall semester.
  • Green Bay Area P.E.O. Reciprocity Scholarship – Awards scholarships to Brown County women enrolled in an educational program that results in a certificate or degree other than a doctoral program. Deadline to apply is April 1st, 2024!
  • Healthy Living Scholarship- $500
    Believes in and lives a healthy lifestyle. High school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Healthy & Wellness Scholarship- $500
    Believes in and lives a healthy lifestyle. High school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Isabelle Row Nursing ScholarshipThis scholarship benefits students aged 21 or older who reside in Waupaca or Fox Valley areas in Wisconsin and are pursuing a degree in nursing at a college, university, or technical school. This scholarship will award out $2,000 scholarships for students. 
  • Jameela Jamil x I Weigh Scholarship – Three scholarships of $5,000 each awarded. Click on the link for more information. 
  • Little Bundle Supermom Scholarship – Must be legal resident enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, be a single mother, child of a single mother, or closely impacted by a single mother. Awarded twice per year.
  • Marinette & Menominee (M&M) Community Foundation Scholarship – There are three scholarships available. To view, click the link and scroll down and find Bellin College from the school listings. There you will find two of the three scholarships available. The third scholarship is listed under the Non-Traditional and Returning Student Scholarships. Please be sure to read through the parameters of each of these applications before applying to verify you meet the requirements. 
  • Nurse Corps Scholarship Program –Nurse Corps provides financial support to students accepted to or enrolled in a nursing degree program at an accredited school of nursing in the United States. After graduation from nursing school, scholarship recipients serve a minimum two-year commitment at an approved health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. The scholarship includes payment of tuition, eligible fees, a monthly stipend for living expenses, and other reasonable educational costs (books, clinical supplies, and instruments).

  • NursingExams.org Student Scholarships – Various scholarship opportunities for nursing students.
  • P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund – Loans are available to qualified women who desire a higher education and are in need of financial assistance.
  • P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education Grants – One-time need-based grants to women who are citizens or legal permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada for use in completing a degree or certification necessary for improving or gaining skills leading to employment.
  • Pet Lover Scholarship-$500
    High school senior, undergraduate or graduate student. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Pharmica International Scholarship Program – $1,000 scholarship being awarded to a student currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate program. Applications due July 31, 2023.
  • PNC Student Lending Scholarship – This is a scholarship sweepstakes you can enter by using PNC financial literacy information.
  • Richard Newcomb & Janice Schreiber-Newcomb Education Scholarship – Applicants must be widows who are too young to receive Social Security assistance and plan to further their education as a part-time or full-time student at an accredited college, university or technical school.
  • Sam Hennessee Scholarship – Applicants must be admitted into their respective programs, earning credits towards their
    degree, and meet all other requirements listed. Students designated as “pre-med,” or “prenursing”
    do not meet applicant qualifications.
  • “Save a Life” Scholarship – Must be 18 years old, enrolled in, or applying to enroll within the next academic year, in a degree program.
  • Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards – Application opens August every year. Scholarship for women who are primary providers for their family. 
  • Soroptimist Virginia M. Wagner Educational Award – Scholarship for any women attending college in pursuit of a bachelors, masters or doctoral degree are eligible to apply. Click on the link for more information.
  • ThedaCare Family of Foundations Nursing Scholarships – 
    Two scholarships are available for students in the ThedaCare service area pursuing a nursing degree. Click on the link for more information.
  • Ultrasound Schools Info Student Scholarship – semi-annual, non-renewable scholarship awarded to an aspiring sonographer currently enrolled in a CAAHEP accredited diagnostic medical sonography program, or a high school student who has been accepted to a program.
  • Uniform Advantage – AACN Scholarship – This scholarship program provides $5,000 in support to students enrolled in masters and doctoral programs who are committed to making a positive impact on the nation’s health and healthcare. A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded in the fall and spring to eligible GNSA members.
  • United Health Foundation Diversity in Health Care Scholarship – Applicants must be pursuing certifications or degrees that will advance clinical skills in a clinical health career.
  • VA Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP) – Scholarship is for specific students that would like to take advantage of tuition assistance from the VA. Applications open year round. 
  • Wisconsin League for Nursing Scholarship – Various scholarship opportunities are available to students enrolled in the nursing program. Each scholarship grant has different eligibility criteria, so please review before applying. The deadline to apply is October 23, 2023
  • Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders Scholarship – Various scholarship opportunities are available to students enrolled in the nursing program. Each scholarship grant has different eligibility criteria, so please review before applying. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2023.

Search for Additional External Scholarships
Outside aid includes funds made directly to a student by non-school affiliates, businesses, organizations, groups, or individuals.

Before you search:

  • Beware; there are scholarship scammers among us!
  • Note that the scholarship search web sites to which we provide links do not charge for the search; however, some websites may sell your name to other companies. When you register to participate in the search, you should consider whether you want to receive mailings from groups who may buy your name and address from the website owners.
