Kappa Pi’s Nursing Research Evening: Posters and Pastries
Thursday, April 13th, 2017 • 5 – 7 p.m.

Share your knowledge and experience with your peers! Posters regarding the following are invited: Nursing research findings, clinical studies, literature reviews, nursing leadership findings, or scholarship of teaching-learning practices. Any projects, procedure, policy changes that have been researched/implemented related to Clinical Practice Issues/Changes; Evidence-based practice policy/procedure changes or Quality Improvement Practices are encouraged to participate.

You do not need to be a Kappa Pi member to participate.


Poster Requirements:

  • Posters should stand alone, be trifold, and are limited to 4’ x 8’
  • Font and graphic size should be large enough for easy viewing, minimum font size of 14 suggested
  • Posters should be logically organized, easy to follow with subheadings, and self-explanatory. Text shouldsupport main theme but be limited to essentials.
  • Posters may include introduction, background, history, materials and methods, graphs, tables, creative designs,pictures, photographs, images, results and discussions, conclusions/implications, future directions andacknowledgements, etc.

Typed summary handout for participants to take with them is encouraged.Poster presenters should be available to answer specific questions with regard to project.

Poster set up time is 11:00 to 5:00 pm on April 13th, 2017

Kappa Pi would like to welcome all to attend an interactive, engaging opportunity to share some new and innovative research and practice changes being explored and implemented by professional registered nurses and BSN students.

Take a walk through the Atrium at Bellin College and view Poster Presentations and talk with individuals and groups who are actively exploring ways to improve nursing practice and provide quality patient outcomes. Posters being presented will focus on:

  • Nursing research findings
  • Clinical studies, Summary of literature reviews
  • Nursing leadership, or Scholarship of Teaching-learning practices

In addition, any projects, procedure, policy changes that have been researched/implemented related to Clinical Practice Issues/Changes; Evidence-base practice policy/procedure changes or Quality Improvement Practices.

Cost: FREE

Pastries and coffee will be served.
