Bellin College Career Fair

Bellin College Career Fair 2017 was a tremendous success with twenty-two agencies participating, represented by 33 recruiters anxious to meet our students!

The goal of this event is to connect students with a variety of healthcare employers to gather information, create a network of contacts, and build their confidence. Students gain valuable experience approaching recruiters, practicing that all important handshake and smile, while maintaining eye contact. They learn how to make a lasting impression when introducing themselves to recruiters and sharing their unique story. This year 72 students attended from the Nursing, Medical Imaging, and MSN programs, along with several alumni. Recruiter feedback focused on the professionalism of the students, how well prepared they were, and the excellent  questions they asked. All were engaged with students from beginning to end.

Employers attending for the first time included: Agnesian Healthcare (Fond du Lac), Ascension (Columbia St. Mary’s, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Affinity Health System, Ministry Health Care), Aspirus (Wausau), Atrium Health & Senior Living (Appleton), Gundersen Health System (LaCrosse), Premier Medical Staffing (Milwaukee), Prevea Health (Green Bay).

Students were very appreciative of the event and recognize the value of networking early-on in their academic career to better prepare themselves for their professional career. Students who pre-registered AND attended the career fair had their name entered into a drawing for a JBL Flip 3 Portable Splashproof Bluetooth Speaker.  Congratulations to the winner, Gillian Jepson, BSN Traditional Class of 2018!

Career Fair 2018 is slated for Monday, February 19, 2018.
