  • Recruitment territory: Southern half of Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
  • Educational background:
    • Graduated from a private 4-year institution with my bachelor’s in Sociology. Currently pursuing my Master Degree in Education.
  • If you could go back and major in something else, what would it be and why?
    • Honestly, I would have gone for something within the Medical Imaging family! From being a member of Bellin College, I have learned a lot about it and how both fascinating and rewarding it is as a career. One of our former students described it perfectly in that it blends science and art — I think that’s really cool!
  • Life before Bellin College
    • I spent a lot of time working in the corporate world. I have served in various roles and different industries. While I wouldn’t change those experiences, I am so glad to have found my niche in Higher Education.
  • Advice for students applying
    • You have time! Make sure this is the right decision for YOU — not those around you. You are the only one who has to love what you do for a career, make sure the time you invest now will serve you best in the future.
  • Important people/pups in your life
    • My family and best girlfriends are extremely important to me. I have always been one to keep my circle small and I am lucky to have found myself surrounded by such great people and role models.
  • Favorite part of your job
    • I love pretty much everything, honestly. This is a position I have been working toward since before I graduated college. If I had to pick, I would say just hearing the “why” from students. Why they are choosing Nursing or Medical Imaging, what has brought them here, why Bellin College. I am a big story person so hearing others’ stories really energizes me.
  • Current passions, hobbies, things that give you joy?
    • For a long time, I danced competitively. That was all I knew for several years and it was my passion through and through. Since that ended, I have had to work to find my “thing”. I am still working on it, but I have found that I really like to build and craft things, spend time in new cities, and honestly I really like to organize.
  • Favorite place you’ve traveled to. What did you love about it?
    • I have spent time in South America and the Caribbean and the thing I love most about both of them is the simplicity of life and how beautiful everything is all the time. Granted, I was on vacation for both of these so life was pretty simple for those weeks. However, I got the vibe that it was just a very relaxing and “go with the flow” place in general. We need more of those in our world!
