Mary has over 30 years of nursing experience, specializing in neonatal care. Over the course of her career she has worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Manager, Research Specialist, and Educator. Mary teaches a variety of courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs. She is certified as a Nurse Educator through the National League for Nursing. As the Director of the College Assessment Program, Mary focuses on advancing Bellin College’s value of excellence through quality improvement initiatives. Her efforts are directed at assuring Bellin College maintains the high standards students, employees, and community partners have come to expect.
Mary is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care, the Association for Women’s Health in Obstetrics and Neonatal Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and the Wisconsin League for Nursing. She is a past president for the Wisconsin Association of Perinatal Care and is a recipient of the Callon-Leonard Memorial award, given in recognition of substantial contributions to perinatal care. She is also a former president for the Kappa Pi Chapter at Large, the local chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Distinguished awards at Bellin College include the Cornerstone Foundation of NorthEast Wisconsin Mother and Infant Professorship and the Nishioka Faculty Excellence Award.
