COVID-19: On the Frontlines of a Global Pandemic
Join us as Bellin College alumnus Dan Gustafson, BSN 2012, discusses his experiences as a nursing team leader in the emergency room at Brooklyn Hospital in New York during the height of COVID-19.
Dan, a travel nurse, led a team of 140 nurses and he will share what it was like to be on the frontlines during the first wave of a global pandemic. During this question and answer session Dan will touch on topics such as personal protective equipment shortage, lack of staffing along with illness among the staff, PTSD and resilience.
