DASH Program Admission Requirements
The Developing Academic Skills and Habits (DASH) Program provides an admission track to students who do not meet the requirements for direct admission into the BSN Traditional Four-Year Option8. The program is designed for students entering directly out of high school. Students meeting the DASH Program requirements are admitted to the BSN program. They are required to complete program-required general education courses only in their first two semesters, including courses designed to improve/encourage student success, study habits, and the understanding of health sciences.
Students achieving a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the end of the second semester move into the BSN Sophomore Transfer Option in the second year which allows these students to complete the BSN degree in four total years.
Students with a minimum high school GPA of 2.5 may apply to the DASH Program. All other admission requirements for the BSN Traditional Four-Year Option must be met including submission of a personal statement and resume. Applicants will be reviewed on an individual basis and an admission decision will be made.
