NCLEX-RN® Preparation

Nursing Licensure Exam

What is NCLEX-RN®?

  • NCLEX is the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.  It is an exam developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing that graduate nurses must pass in order to become licensed by a state as a Registered Nurse

Bellin College has a dedicated NCLEX-RN® Coordinator assists students in preparing for the licensure exam.  The NCLEX-RN® Coordinator advises nursing students throughout the curriculum on test taking strategies and available study resources and works very closely with nursing students in their senior year.  The NCLEX-RN® Coordinator offers NCLEX-RN® prep sessions (boot camps) reviewing the content for the exam and works one-on-one with students to develop an individualized prep plan.  In addition, something unique from most other colleges, Bellin College’s NCLEX-RN® Coordinator continues to work closely with graduates after graduation providing advice and support as they continue to prepare for the NCLEX-RN® exam.

The nursing students/graduates who utilize the NCLEX-RN® Coordinator as a resource for their NCLEX-RN® preparation are successful on their first attempt on the NCLEX-RN® exam.

Radiologic Sciences Licensure Exam

What is ARRT?

  • The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is the world’s largest credentialing organization that seeks to ensure high quality patient care in medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy. We certify and register technologists through administration of education, ethics and examination requirements.

Our Radiologic Sciences students at Bellin College take Health Education Systems, Inc. (HESI) practice exams as well as participate in the Wisconsin Association of Educators in Radiologic Technology (WAERT) mock registry and a Professional Development course which prepares them for the ARRT. The WAERT conference each spring offers students the opportunity to hear keynote speakers, professional presentations on the radiology profession, the opportunity to participate in exhibits, a quiz bowl and taking a mock registry review.
