Bellin College hosted its annual Scholarship Salute event on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay. This event provides donors the opportunity to meet the recipient(s) of their generous scholarship contributions and allows students the chance to thank donors for helping to fund their education and pursue their dream of becoming a nurse, radiologic technician, or diagnostic medical sonographer.
Bellin College would like to congratulate our Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography students who have been named to the summer 2017 dean’s list. The dean’s list is composed of students who earned a grade point average of 3.5 or better in Bellin College courses, are in good disciplinary standing, and carry at least 6 credits.
Bellin College honored distinguished alumni award winner Donna Zelazoski at its homecoming event on Sept. 14. Donna is a graduate of the nursing class of 1969, and was a dedicated Bellin student and team member her entire nursing career. She recently retired, but remains active in the Bellin community, supporting students and current team members.
From the coast guard to nursing, one Bellin College student expands his journey to find a lasting career
Answering the call to help during a natural disaster and devastation like Hurricane Harvey takes a whole nation. What we don’t always hear about are the people behind the scenes who are a part of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and are members of the Incident Command System (ICS) and those that risk their lives to serve our country every day. When it comes to the gulf coast, first on the scene during a devastation from a hurricane is your U.S. Coast Guard. John, a current Bellin College student, has served in the Coast Guard for nearly 20 years.
