Bellin College May Commencement

May 14th, 2016
Bellin College will host its spring commencement on May 14, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Commencement will be held at the Byron L. Walter Theatre on the St. Norbert College campus - Parking MapStudents should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. and report to the Band Room in the lower level (look for signage). Doors to the theatre will open to guests at 8:00 a.m. A group photo will be taken at 8:30 a.m. in the Band Room. You will line up for procession from there, so please be ready to walk at 8:30 a.m.

Caps, Gowns, Announcements, Tickets, Etc.
Caps, gowns, cords and graduation tickets will be distributed from the front desk and our Student Concierge. Gowns will be ready to pick up Monday, May 2. Cords, caps, gowns (and hoods if that applies) will be included in your bag.

Due to space restraints, each student will be provided six tickets. These tickets will be required to enter the theatre on graduation day. Please make sure guests bring tickets with them. Any extra tickets will be entered into a lottery system. If you need extra tickets, please see the Development & PR office.

Rehearsal & Senior Breakfast Social
All students participating in the commencement ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Friday, May 13, 2016. It will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m. in the Byron Walter Theatre on the St. Norbert College campus. Prior to the rehearsal, a Senior Social Breakfast will be held at the Bemis Conference Center (next to the theatre) at 9:00 a.m. The breakfast will feature student speakers from each graduating class and provide an excellent opportunity to celebrate all that students have achieved during their time at Bellin College. The breakfast is free to all graduating students.

Speakers
The commencement address speaker is Greg Maass, PhD, President/CEO, Brown County United Way.

The alumni speaker is LaRae Bruno, the current Alumni Council Chairperson. She is a 1980 graduate of Bellin College, who went on to receive her BSN from UW Green Bay. She currently works as a staff nurse at the VA Clinic in Green Bay.

Student speakers are Amanda Novitski-Juedes (BSN), Lucy Stedl, (BSRS) and Virginia Riggs (MSN).

Commencement Reception
A reception will be held after the ceremony at Michel's Ballroom on the St. Norbert College Campus immediately following the ceremony until 12:00 noon. The reception is open to graduates and guests.  This is a great opportunity for graduates to reflect on their time at Bellin College with their peers, family and friends. There is no cost to attend the event, no reservations are required, and all graduates are encouraged to attend.

Diplomas and Transcripts
The Bellin College Registrar’s Office will send a copy of each graduate’s official transcript and diploma to the mailing address provided on the Intent to Graduate Form. This could take approximately six weeks following graduation.

There are several lodging options close to the St. Norbert College and Bellin College campuses.
