Bellin College May Commencement

May 16th, 2015

Bellin College will host its spring commencement on May 16, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Commencement will be held at the Byron L. Walter Theatre on the St. Norbert College campus. Students should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. and report to the Choir Room. Doors to the theatre will open to guests at 8:00 a.m.

Caps, Gowns, Announcements, Tickets, Etc.
Caps, gowns, cords and graduation tickets will be distributed in the Development office to all graduating students on the following dates: Monday, May 4, 2015, 1-3 p.m.; Tuesday, May 5, 2015, 11-12 p.m.; Wednesday, May 6, 2015, 11-12 p.m.

Due to space restraints, we can only allow 6 tickets per student. These tickets will be REQUIRED to enter the theatre on graduation day. Please make sure guests are aware of this. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Rehearsal & Senior Breakfast Social
All students participating in the commencement ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Friday, May 15, 2015. It will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. in the Byron Walter Theatre on the St. Norbert College campus. Prior to the rehearsal, a Senior Social Breakfast will be held at the Bemis Conference Center (next to the theatre) at 9:00 a.m. The breakfast will feature student speakers from each graduating class and provide an excellent opportunity to celebrate all that students have achieved during their time at Bellin College. The breakfast is free to all graduating students.

Speakers
The commencement address speaker will be Dr. Tina Sauerhammer. She is a Green Bay native and currently a pediatric & plastic reconstructive surgeon at Prevea Health in Green Bay. Dr. Sauerhammer graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. In 2003, at age 22, she became the youngest graduate of medical school at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Later that year, she served as Miss Wisconsin and second runner up to Miss America. In 2011, Dr. Sauerhammer was on a team of doctors that successfully completed the first full face transplant in the United States. 

The student speakers are April Jensen, BSN and Michelle Pigeon, BSRS. Alumni speaker is Steve Bomkamp, BSN. Steve is a 2013 graduate of Bellin College and currently works with Bellin Health in Green Bay.

Commencement Reception
A reception will be held after the ceremony that is open to all graduates, parents, faculty and guests. The reception will be held at the Michel's Ballroom on the St. Norbert College Campus immediately following the ceremony until noon. This is a great opportunity for graduates to reflect on their time at Bellin College with their peers, family and friends. There is no cost to attend the event, no reservations are required, and all graduates are encouraged to attend.

Diplomas and Transcripts
The Bellin College Registrar’s Office will send a copy of each graduate’s official transcript and diploma to the mailing address provided on the Intent to Graduate Form approximately six weeks following graduation.

There are several lodging options close to the St. Norbert College and Bellin College campuses.
